Items of interest include: items relating to the memorial of King Edward VII (9 November 1841-6 May 1910); cuttings relating to 'the Earl of Coventry's Court Leet' at Feckenham and Powick, taken from Berrow's Worcester Journal, 14th November 1912 [page19]; article relating to the opening of a new riding school for Worcestershire Territorials, 30th November 1912 [page 20]; articles on the presentation of a portrait of the 9th Earl of Coventry, on the occasion of his 21st year as Lord Lieutenant of Worcester, as a show of gratitude for all his services to the county, December 1913 [pages 36-40]; article on the 'county relief fund, detailing a meeting convened by the Earl of Coventry 'to launch a fund for the relief of dependants of those who have been called to duty in consequence of the war', 15th August 1914 [pages 54-55]; print of a poem entitled 'The Day' by Henry Chappell [page 57]; various articles relating to the Golden wedding anniversary of Lord and Lady Coventry, 15th January 1915 [pages 64-73]; a poem by C. W. Gerald Coventry, naval cadet aged 14, entitled 'The Truth about the Kaiser', dating from April 1915, copied from the Osborne Chronicle [page 75]; article concerning the presentation of the Freedom of the City of Worcester to the 9th Earl of Coventry, 13th February 1915 [page 75]; various newspaper cuttings relating to the raising of funds for the Red Cross, heavily supported by the Earl and Countess of Coventry; various items relating to the recruitment of forces and to the support of the war effort; various cuttings relating to charitable events and fundraising attempts; various newspaper cuttings relating to agricultural matters, hunting, Conservative clubs, horse racing, presentations made to the 9th Earl of Coventry, articles relating to the history of the Coventry family and the 9th Earl's cattle. Other items include numerous letters, telegrams and invitations to events and dinners.
